Art gives children the opportunity to think and solve problems if they are able to make their own choices. Young children often spend a great deal of time choosing the right materials, colors, etc. for their perfect picture. It is so much fun watching children create something that belongs to them, no right or wrong way. Children can put things wherever they want and create a unique image that shows their development stage and makes them proud. Child-directed art helps children learn social skills, helps in fine motor development and cognitive development. The motivation for art comes within the child. Child-directed art activities are creative, unique and original. These classes involve self expression and empower children to say "Look what I made by myself" even if you can't recognize the finished product they can and they know exactly what it is.
Preschool Mania - (Ages 2 - 5)
Come be creative with us! This awesome class provides new art and craft activities, stories & games. Class will be held on Wednesday mornings from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Cost is $35.00 for 4 weeks (includes supplies)
Hands on Clay - (Ages 6 - 12)
This class is all about the wonderful world of clay and creative thinking in three dimensions. Classes will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Cost is $35.00 for 4 weeks (includes supplies)
Ceramic Studio!!! (Ages 5 to Adults)
Do you like to paint ceramics? Or maybe you’ve always wanted to try it. Then come and join us, bring some friends or the whole family and enjoy painting fun and unique ceramic pieces. We’ll fire your piece and have it ready for you the following week. Class will be held on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Cost is $40.00 for 4 weeks and includes 4-6 projects from start to finish.
Oodles of Art - (Ages 6—12)
This is an open-ended art class where children are introduced to a wide range of art materials & ideas. They are encouraged to discover various processes such as mixed media painting, drawing, sculpting, printmaking and more. Class will be held on Monday afternoons from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Cost is $35.00 for 4 weeks (includes supplies) |
